Poetry

Melancholy

Lost and alone, but not sad

Never sad

Sad is impossible

Grief plagues you

But grief is not sad

Grief is empty

Grief and stress

All wrapped in you

The moment those disappear

You disappear too

Not Special

You are not special

I have seen many like you before

How you feel is not something new

Millions of people are like you

People are repetitive

They live in patterns

In and out every day

Left and right every day

You are not special

You do not get to be unique

There are nearly 8 billion people in the world

One is just like you

People say the same thing

They do this time and time again

People do not change fast

Sometimes they don’t change at all

You are not special

Just because he loves you

Maybe that love isn’t true

Maybe that love is only you

People breath the same every day

They walk the same route every day

They see the same things every day

People are boring

You are not special

No one is special

People all deal with the same problems

Take comfort from that

Because being special

Isn’t something to want.
